Prof. Dr. Shafiqul Islam, a distinguished neurosurgeon, earned his MBBS from Dhaka Medical College in 1995. Awarded the Monbusho Scholarship in 1998, he obtained his PhD in Neurosurgery from Hirosaki University, Japan, in 2004. Specializing in vascular diseases of the brain and stroke, he completed MS Neurosurgery and further fellowships in Endovascular and Microvascular Neurosurgery in India and Germany. Since 2013, he has served as a Professor of Neurosurgery at Dhaka Medical College. Dr. Shafique is renowned for his expertise in AVM surgery, aneurysm clipping, and various brain and spine surgeries, having participated in numerous conferences and workshops.
